Walk Two Moons

By Sharon Creech

This book is about thirteen year-old Sal Hiddle who's father moves from her home in Bybanks, Kentucky that she loved to a small house in Euclid, Ohio to be closer to a woman named Margaret. She thinks that her father and Margaret are romantically involved in some way, but she later discovers that that is not at all the case. I kind of liked this book because it was a pretty interesting story and the characters were well developed, but some parts got a little boring.

All the Light We Cannot See

 By Anthony Doerr

This book is about a blind french girl, Marie-Laure and German boy, Werner who try to survive the horrors of WWII. Marie-Laure and her father move to Saint Malo to live with her Great Uncle when the Nazis occupy Paris. Werner, who is an orphan, has an incredible talent for building and putting things together which lands him a spot in the academy for Hitler Youth. This leads him through the war and into Saint Malo where him and Marie-Laure met. I liked this book because I think that this time period is very interesting and I also liked the characters.
