Tracks

This week I read the non-fiction book Tracks written by Robyn Davidson. The book is a first hand account of when she took the journey of walking across the Australian desert. It was a 1,700 mile long walk where she only had a dog and four camels. She faces all of the challenges that come with the desert and then some. It was a really inspiring book where I really got to know the character, who was such a strong person. Overall I really enjoyed this book and I feel like so would many others.'

She thinks that her father and Margaret are romantically involved in some way, but she later discovers that that is not at all the case. I kind of liked this book because it was a pretty interesting story and the characters were well developed, but some parts got a little boring.

Confessions of a Murder Suspect

By James Patterson and Maxine Paetro

This book is about a girl named Tandy who has grown up in an extraordinary family with brilliant parents worth millions of dollars. There is no junk food or anything unintelligent in their household. Two of her three brothers are extremely athletic and her other brother is an art prodigy and Tandy herself has a talent of surprising emotion. There all seem to be going amazing places until it all crashes down when their parents are found dead in their room. Their is no signs of forced entry or anything which leaves the prime suspects the kids.

Headphones

You create a bubble of solitude
The wondering whispers of bitterness can't get past your barricade
You are my life interlude
When I succeed you are the accolade
Breathing sweet sounds of ecstasy into my mind
Filling me with bliss
When you play it seems like the stars are aligned
Your magnificent melody makes alley worries fall away into the abyss

The Siren

by Kiera Cass

This book is about a siren named Kahlen who lures strangers to their death, but when she meets a boy and starts to fall in love with him she worries what will happen to them when they find out that he is human. This book was pretty good, but I didn't love the plot because it didn't seem very original. I did like this book, but I like some of Kiera Cass's books better like The Selection.
